Jesuit Facts

Discernment is the nexus where prayer and action meet. It is a sifting of spiritual movements within oneself in order to recognize and choose between good and evil, and secondly to recognize and choose between the good and the greater good in a state of interior detachment and spiritual freedom.

Alumni Events

St Paul's High School hosts annually a number of alumni events, reunions and sport tournaments. These events owe their success to the active and generous alumni and others who volunteer and participate. The Alumni Association Executive is an active part of the planning and organizing of many of these events.

For more detailed information on an event by event basis, including event dates, registration information and additional photo galleries of past events, alumni can register to become a part of the St Paul's Online Community.

The following is a list of the major events for alumni in the order that they occur in the school year.

18th Annual Ignatian Challenge Award Tribute Dinner Honouring His Excellency Gary Doer ’66, Canadian Ambassador to the United States of America(Tuesday, 1 November, 2011)

St Paul's initiated the Ignatian Challenge Awards in 1994 in order to recognize individuals within our community who embrace the ideals of St Ignatius Loyola and who reflect the characteristics and qualities inherent in a Jesuit education at St Paul's High School. Award recipients, through their leadership and commitment to service, become examples for our students of a lived faith and philosophy of becoming men and women for others. The awards are bestowed annually at the St Paul's High School Tribute Dinner.

The proceeds of the annual Tribute Dinner support the Bursary Fund, an essential aspect of a Jesuit education at St Paul's High School. All students and the entire school community benefit from your generosity in support of the Tribute Dinner and the Bursary Fund.

We invite you to join us in November at the Ignatian Challenge Award Tribute Dinner. Please contact Mr Randy Van de Mosselaer '86 at (204) 831-2332 or at Randy Van de Mosselaer to purchase tickets or to become a Dinner Sponsor for the 2011 Ignatian Challenge Award Tribute Dinner.

Make a difference in the lives of students at St Paul's High School. Join us in celebrating the example of community leadership provided by this year's honouree.

The 2010 Tribute Dinner sold out - reserve your corporate table or seat today.

Regional Alumni Chapter Presidents Meetings (May, 2012)

For the fifth consecutive year St Paul’s High School is pleased to announce we will be holding our annual Regional Reunions for all St Paul’s High School Alumni currently residing in the Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver areas. These events provide an opportunity for you to reconnect with St Paul’s and meet with Alumni living in your region. Further information will be available in the spring of 2012.

Alumni Drama

Alumni Drama (Spring)

Imagine what it would be like to bring together an all-star cast of alumni back to the stage in Murray Hall. Could long-since retired St Paul's players once again conjure up a little dramatic magic? Who would direct? What about a set? Would anybody come even if they could pull it off?

In May 2009, the Alumni members of the St Paul's Drama Society produced a series of dramatic and comedic scenes with their play Departures and Arrivals. For alumni looking for a great way to get involved in the school, to rub elbows and share the stage with alumni and faculty from years past, you will not want to miss out when the next alumni production is announced.

In past years, the School has also hosted Alumni Hockey and Alumni Soccer games. The best way to find out about such events and when they occur is to sign up as a member of the St Paul's Online Community.
