with the 2013 St Paul's Alumni Service Trip to Ghana

Interested in a travel experience with a purpose? St Paul’s High School is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for alumni, their family and friends, to continue the school’s tradition of service to others by participating in a community development project in Ghana, West Africa.

In partnership with the Canadian Education Initiative Inc (CEIG Inc.), a grassroots charity that is improving the quality of primary education in Ghana, the purpose of the St Paul’s Alumni Service trip is to advance the overall community and educational initiatives of the villagers living within the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

You can play an important role in helping meet the tremendous educational needs of the people living near Lake Bosomtwe, while promoting early childhood education among the locals who currently rely mainly on subsistence fishing and farming.

The next St Paul’s Alumni Service Trip to Ghana is tentatively scheduled for late August, 2013. This 14 day trip will involve approximately one week of work on community projects with the remaining time open for cultural activities and camaraderie.

Together with local villagers from Dompa, St Paul’s alumni will complete the construction of a school and its latrines that was begun during the first St Paul’s Alumni Service Trip in 2011.
