Good Afternoon Students, Parents & Guardians:
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority made the following announcement in a Press Conference earlier today:
Effective Monday, November 2, 12:01 a.m. the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority will be moving the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region to a Critical Red Response Level. You can read more about what this means here.
As directed by the Province in partnership with the Department of Education:
Operations at St. Paul’s High School will remain unchanged. Students will continue to attend school for full in-person learning on Monday, November 2, 2020. However, mask use will be required at all times.
As mentioned in our last communication, St. Paul’s High School has modified 8 classrooms to provide enhanced safety measures, thus allowing 2-meter distancing in all learning spaces across the campus. The cafeteria will remain a flex space with enhanced physical distancing in place. Photos of a modified classroom and cafeteria attached.
Student Success at the Forefront:
Thank you for your support as we transitioned classrooms this week.
Our goal at St. Paul’s High School is not only to meet; but exceed the provincial protocols for safety while maximizing in-class learning. We are committed to providing your son with the highest quality education, and will continue to put student success and safety at the forefront of what we do.
Sports Activities:
In the spirit of utmost safety and concern for our students, all sports events and activities will be paused effective immediately until further notice.
Physical Education will continue, however, masks will be mandatory at all times. Please ensure your son has an extra mask available for use after gym class.
Other Co-Curriculars:
At this time, already approved co-curriculars (not including athletics) may continue.
Administration will continue evaluating “Return to Play '' protocols submitted by moderators.
