Dear Students, Parents & Guardians:
Earlier today, Premier Brian Pallister & Dr. Brent Roussin, announced that as of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, the province of Manitoba will move to the Critical level (red) on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System. More information can be found here.
At this time, “no changes will be made to child-care services or to kindergarten to Grade 12 education delivery.” Roussin noted, “the province has not seen widespread transmission among children, students and staff.”
The announcement today, now, more than ever serves as an important reminder for all parents/guardians, students and staff to remain vigilant in following the directives from Manitoba Public Health, including:
Out of an abundance of caution, we request that visits to the school be as limited as possible.
St. Paul’s High School continues to take our goal seriously, to not only meet, but exceed the provincial protocols for safety while maximizing in-class learning. We are committed to providing your son with the highest quality education and will continue to put student safety and success at the forefront of what we do.
The Jesuits of Canada put together an excellent resource, “Finding God in a pandemic: Testimonies from Jesuits and colleagues.” Despite the desolation and difficulties, all the testimonies seem to converge in saying that God appeared in different ways, notably through the grace of savouring the present. Past regent, Mr. Brook Stacey SJ is also featured. Give the article a read here.
