On Friday, December 12 at 3:00 pm, St Paul’s President Father Alan Fogarty SJ reached his hand into the big red drum and pulled one ticket from the tens of thousands purchased in support of the 2008 Crusader Raffle.
Overseen by Mr Shawn Bose of Deloitte, and witnessed by Director Advancement & Alumni Relations, Mr Nick Laping ’61 and the assembled staff, all hoping to be the lucky one drawn, Father Fogarty reached in and pulled out ticket #057693, belonging to Mr Curtis Arndt. Mr Arndt becomes the grand prize winner of either a brand new 2009 Pontiac G5 Coupe valued at $21,000, or $555/month on a 36 month lease on the car of his choice valued at $21,000.
Mr Arndt is the uncle of the ticket seller, Mr Kelby Arndt, a student at Crusader Raffle partner school Immaculate Heart of Mary. Kelby’s father Richard is an alumnus of Immaculate Heart of Mary and St Paul’s, Class of 1991. For his efforts as ticket seller of the grand prize ticket Kelby receives a $500 ticket seller prize.
Thank you to all who purchased tickets and volunteered their time to make the 2008 Crusader Raffle a success!
