Today at the Winnipeg High School Track and Field Championship Meet, grade 10 runner Soren Fredrickson captured two silver medals in the 800m and the 1500m. Soren's 1500 time of 4:25, is the fastest by a JV athlete from St. Paul's since Erik Sproll 12 years ago.
Patrick Rozanska McCaugherty also had a trememdous meet. He was the only grade 9 qualifier for the high jump in the JV competition. Not being intimidated he went out and jumped a huge personal best of 1.70m to take the Silver medal.
Just missing the poduim for the Crusaders were Kahlil Diaz-Hammond (4th in the JV 800m), Chris Driedger (4th in the JV High Jump), and Kyle Leech who placed 5th in the JV 60m and 4th in the 200m.
Congratulations to all who trained and competed during the indoor track and field season. Outdoor track will start after Spring break.
