The Winnipeg High School Track and Field Championships took place yesterday at the University of Manitoba Max Bell Center.

A small but talented group of Crusader athletes made many appearances on the podium.

Leading the medal parade was grade 12 distance runner Shiloh Johnson who won gold in the senior 1500m and a bronze in the 800m. Grade 11 student James Teschuck won the silver medal in the 400m and placed 4th in the 200m.

On the Junior Varsity side, Trevor Wright won the gold in the 60m by one/one hundredth of a second. Stefan Hreno won bronze in the 200m, and Regan Roche won bronze in the shot put.

Also running strong but  just outside the medals were Will Koltek (800) Luc Deleau (400) and Teagan Horton (60).

Congratulations to all who competed and trained throughout the indoor season. Hopefully the snow will be off the ground soon and outdoor track will begin.
