Day 2 of the Provincial Track and Field Championships heated up as more finals were contested.

The marquee event of the night was the 4 X 400m relay. Over 40 high schools were represented from all over Manitoba. The Crusaders led by Luc Deleau, Bryce Stubbings, Matt Indome and Jack Taylor raced to a convincing 4 second victory in a thilling race.

The meet wraps up Saturday with most finals being held. Going for the podium on the final day for the Crusader Varsity team will be James Teshcuk (200, 400), Cody Cranston ( multi event), and the 3rd ranked 4 X 100m team (Stefan Hreno) in the province.

The junior varsity team will charge into Saturday's finals led by Luc Deleau (200, 400, 4 X 100m), Bryce Stubbings (800m), Matt Indome (200m LJ, 4 X 100m) and Jack Taylor (400m, 4 X 100m) and Trey Garlinski (3000m) Nic Peters will also help the Cru in the crucial 4 X100m where only 4 hundreds separate the top three teams.

The JV team is neck and neck with Kelvin for the team competition title.
