James Teschuk finished off his high school track and field career the way he started it - a champion. For the 3rd consecutive year Teschuk won the 400m in a personal best time of 50.3. Battling driving rain and ankle deep puddles Teschuk held off all competitors to claim the title.
A few minutes early Junior Varsity standout Luc Deleau ran a personal best time of 52.3 to claim the silver medal in the 400m. Not far behind him was grade nine speedster Jack Taylor running an amazing 54.7 for 6th spot.
The Crusaders kept on rolling with the Junior Varsity 800m up next. Bryce Stubbings ran the race of his life coming from 6th place with 100m to go, to shock everybody by winning the gold in dramatic fashion.
This is the first gold medal in the Junior 800m for a Crusader since Erik Sproll in 1999.
Up next was the 200m final. Matt Indome once again showed his amazing speed by placing 5th and Luc Deleau (barely recovered from his 400m) placed 7th.
