NewsKevin Booth '78 Announced as Next President of St. Paul's High School

Today, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Booth '78 as St. Paul’s High School’s next President.

Our search process began four months ago.  We received applications from both Canada and the US.  With advisory input from our stakeholders, faculty, staff, alumni and parents, we followed a search process devised by the Jesuit Schools Network. This process followed over forty other Jesuit schools that had moved to a lay President.  With the help of search team member, Ruth Chipman, we were able to follow the Ignatian communal discernment model to a successful outcome.

Kevin comes to us having over 34 years of experience in Catholic and Jesuit-based education.  Kevin has long-standing ties to St. Paul’s and the local community.  As a St. Paul’s alumnus, Kevin began his career in education here as a teacher and then later fulfilling the roles of Director of Athletics and Vice Principal – Students.  Kevin has a deep understanding of the Ignatian pedagogical model which is the foundation of St. Paul’s High School.  Kevin is regarded as a collaborator with a focus on love, creativity and an active willing to do good for the other, Cura Personalis.

Kevin currently resides in Alberta and will be relocating “home” with his wife Sheryl.  He is excited to be returning and we are very excited to have him join us as our new President.  Please join us in congratulating Kevin and Sheryl and welcoming them back to St. Paul’s and our community.

Sincerely,

André Kriening
Chair – Board of Directors
St. Paul’s High School
