NewsCrusaders run tough at Swain Invitational

The Crusader Cross Country team returned a little wiser and a little tougher after having competed in the Swain Invitational Cross Country Meet in Duluth Minnesota. Over 3000 athletes from over 80 schools took part in the meet. The Crusaders JV squad led by Alex Izydorczyk and Thomas Toni finished 6th out of 20 teams. The Varsity squad finished a very respectable 11th out of 25 teams. Isaiah Klassen once again led the Crusaders with a 6th place finish in a very competitive field. Grade 10 stars Riley MacCharles and Chris Schmidt were the next to cross the line finishing 28th and 89th out of 300 runners. The Crusaders now prepare for the MHSAA Provincials to be held Thursday in Roseisle.
