NewsCourageous Rugby Crusaders Fall Short

In a game that could have gone either way up until the last seconds, the Crusaders were unable to capitalize on several possesions inside the SJR Eagles' five meter line.  The Crusaders dominated the first half through gritty forward play and solid rucking to keep the Eagles off balance and off their game.

After the break the Eagles stretched the field and used their talented back line to even it up.  The Crusaders were able to regain their balance and stormed back with some scoring of their own. In the end a converted try and missed Crusader opportunities would decide the outcome.

The Crusaders made the entire coaching staff and spectators proud with their monumental effort against a very experienced SJR team.  The Crusaders improved their game dramatically over the year and achieved the important goals of becoming great team mates and quality rugby players.  Special thanks to our grade 12 graduating players and our volunteer coaches who made the season a special one.
