NewsSt. Paul's Christmas Hampers 2014

Dear Parents/Guardians On November 28th St. Paul’s High will be hosting its annual casual day in support of our Christmas Hamper program. Please have your son bring a toonie ($2.00) and a “tin for the bin” (non-perishable food item). In the coming weeks your son’s MGM will be asked to support our annual food drive by signing up to bring 2 of the items and a $5.00 cash donation. Some of the MGMs will be delivering hampers to families from the Christmas Cheer Board and other MGMs will be contributing to the families within our own community. This year St. Paul’s High School will be helping five (5) families within our community. In addition to dry goods and monetary gifts, we are collecting donations of gift cards for Superstore, Walmart and Target. St. Paul’s High School will be hosting an evening at the Siloam Mission. The cost is approximately $1,400 to provide a meal for 450 people. We are looking for donations to help cover the cost of this evening. Siloam Mission has identified the top needs are blue jeans and underwear. Items such as mitts, gloves, toques, socks and blankets are also needed. We are hoping that everyone will be able to drop off one pair of gently used jeans and any of the other new items listed above. We will be collecting donations between now and December 10th. Mission Week 3 (February) will be in support of the Immaculate Conception Drop-In Centre. The Maroon & White will be volunteering for a day and provide support and service to all guests. More information to follow on this event as it becomes available. Donated Items such as underwear, mitts, gloves, toques, socks and blankets will be split between Siloam Mission and the Immaculate Conception Drop-In Centre.
