“The bursary is so important because it gives kids like myself a chance to be a part of something great, to enter St. Paul’s, meet new people, establish connections and graduate a better man and return as an alumnus. So I want to thank each and every person who contributes to the bursary program that gives kids like myself an opportunity of a lifetime.”

Your Support Changes Lives!

Provide the gift of an education today by supporting one of the following bursary programs:

General Bursary Fund

Central to a Jesuit education at St. Paul’s is our mission to provide a quality education to all, regardless of a family’s ability to pay tuition. Our current challenge is to ensure that financial assistance keeps pace with rising tuition costs and demands for bursary assistance. Over the past five years we have dramatically increased the amount of bursary funds awarded due to the demand of students requiring financial assistance. Donations to the bursary fund helps us meet the needs of our school families.

St. Paul’s prides itself on having a diverse community of students and families from different religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. It is our goal to make sure all students who want to attend St. Paul’s have the ability to do so.

Named Bursary Fund

A bursary may be named for an individual, a group or family, in honour of others, or in memory of a deceased family member or friend. An initial gift of $10,000 will name the bursary and $175,000 will fully and perpetually endow it. The principal endowment is invested and the earnings are used each year to support bursary requests. Bursaries are awarded based on need, decided annually by the Bursary Committee. You may also choose to donate to an existing named bursary.

Annual Giving

Our Annual Giving Program is a direct appeal to the St. Paul’s community to give generously to the programs and activities that support the school and its students. It allows our donors to make a difference in the life of the school no matter what size of the gift.

Please consider making a gift today to one of the following worthwhile initiatives. Donors of every level will be recognized in The Crusader magazine each year.

Bursary Program: Central to a Jesuit education at St. Paul’s is our mission to provide quality education to all, regardless of a family’s ability to pay tuition. Our current challenge is to ensure that financial assistance keeps pace with tuition costs and demands for bursary assistance. Over the past five years, we have dramatically increased the number of bursary funds awarded due to the demand of students requiring financial assistance. Donations to the bursary fund help us meet the needs of our school families.

Greatest Need or Unrestricted Gifts: An unrestricted gift provides the school the greatest flexibility to address the areas and programs of most need. An unrestricted gift will provide support for areas such as campus ministry, library improvements, and archives. Most importantly, a gift designated to ‘Greatest Need’ helps ensure St. Paul’s continues to provide excellence in education, strong extra-curricular programs combined with exceptional personal development and faith formation

Student Programs: St. Paul’s offers a number of different clubs and extra-curricular activities that appeal to the varied interests of the student body and complement the academic program. By supporting these programs you will enrich a student’s school experience. Gifts can be directed toward Athletics, Drama, Choir, Debate, Band, Kairos and more.

Capital and Major Maintenance Plan: As an independent school we rely on the support of the community to help improve our facilities and address the ever-changing demands for excellence in education. Current projects include the replacement of original windows, installation of classroom air conditioners, computer lab upgrades and new student desks. Please note that naming opportunities are still available for classrooms and other areas of the school.

Magis Fund

As part of the St. Paul’s experience, we want to make sure that every student has the same opportunities to get the most out their high school years.  Whether its playing on a sports team and participating in tournaments, going  on a mission of service opportunity or being a part of the Jazz band, St. Paul’s is committed to helping any student and family in need.

The St. Paul’s Magis Fund provides financial assistance to students who cannot afford to fully participate in school life. Lunch money, bus tickets, band instrument rentals, sports equipment, tutors, school attire, and graduation costs are some of the many areas where support is offered.

If you would like to help a deserving student make the most out of their high school years, consider making a donation to the Magis Fund.
