Another scholarship promoted to students this week is the University of Toronto Book Award. Greetings Parents and Guardians,
This year’s Student Council is pleased to announce the 47th Walk will be held on Thursday, September 18th at St. Paul’s High School. This is an annual fundraiser that brings together students from St. Paul’s High School, St. Mary’s Academy and Balmoral Hall. The Walk is an all-day event (9:00 am - 2:15 pm) that begins with attendance at St. Paul’s, a walk through Assiniboine Park, and concludes with entertainment and activities at St. Paul’s High School. Along the Walk route there will be refreshments and games. Upon returning, students can purchase food from the St. Paul’s cafeteria or attending food trucks, watch this year’s entertainer, participate in a variety of games, bounce on inflatables, and more! To help make this event possible, a $13 fee will be required from all St. Paul’s students. Registration and payment for attending is due today, Friday, September 12th! This can be completed online via a Permission Click link below. Payments are only available to be made through Permission Click, no cash or cheque payments will be accepted unless there are extenuating circumstances. If there are, please contact Keana Rellinger (krellinger@stpauls.mb.ca) to assist with registration and payment. Attached to this letter is a printable pledge form and a link to the St. Paul’s X Terry Fox event page for students to fundraise from their networks. For fundraising online, students can share the SPHS page or create a personal page attached to the event if they have an individual fundraising goal. Fundraising is optional but any amount of participation is greatly encouraged and appreciated with 100% of the funds collected given directly to the Terry Fox Foundation. If collecting in person, please make all cheques payable to “The Terry Fox Foundation”. Completed pledge forms can be brought to Ms. Rellinger. If this $120 is donated online or through a combination of the two, students will still need to report in person to Ms. Rellinger with a list of who donated on their behalf or show evidence of their fundraising on a personal page. We ask that all fundraising totals qualifying for a sweater are brought to Ms. Rellinger in Rm. 127. Please note, if the deadline is missed, students are subject to discipline penalties for 'missed deadline' or 'missed appointment'. Students not registered will be unable to attend the day’s events. Included with this message is a FAQ sheet that students can also access on the All Students Teams page and important reminders for Walk Day.
