Students must enter the school through the Multiplex or Student Link entrances. The front entrance is reserved for staff, parents/guardians, and visitors only.
Students who enter through the front entrance will receive a JUG. Parents are also asked not to drop students off at the front of the school and have them walk to the Student Link entrance. Please use the designated student drop-off areas and entrances.
Thank you for your cooperation.
If your son missed the original photo day AND missed photo retakes, he must contact Ms. Kolton about submitting a photo for use in the school yearbook. Student names are attached to the school photos, so failure to have a photo taken will result in the student not appearing in name or image in the yearbook.

From October 26-30 Student Council will be hosting our annual Fall Spirit Week. This year, the Student Council Exec is dedicated to making all things “spooky” with Grade Wars featured again! Each grade will compete for a grand prize: treats for their whole grade and a free dress code day!
Each day of the week will feature a free dress code and a lunch activity and there are a couple ways to earn point for their grade:
Monday, Oct. 26
Dress Code: Colour Day
Grades (and staff) are invited to wear their assigned colour. Their assigned colour must be a dominant item/feature of their outfit to count!
Lunch Activity: Spooky Dodgeball
Each core group will nominate 1 student to participate in grade v. grade "spooky" dodgeball. What makes it spooky? Lights will be dimmed in the MP while flashlights are used for chaotic lighting by StuCo and a 'ghost' will appear throughout the matches. Hit the ghost and you're out!
Tuesday, Oct. 27
Dress Code: Celebrity Day
Students and staff are invited to dress like a celebrity for the day. Students will be asked to show proof of their “muse” if it is unclear and all outfits must be school and age appropriate.
Lunch Activity: Spooky Bat Spin Relay
Each core group will nominate 2 students for a bat-spin relay in the MP. Each leg of the relay begins with a bat-spin (get dizzy). Legs include: buckets from the free throw line, ring toss, human wheelbarrow with obstacles, and frozen t-shirt unpacking.
Wednesday, Oct. 28
Dress Code: Jersey Day
Students and staff are invited to wear clothing from any sports team! Jerseys should be clearly identifiable; jackets with simple logos or backpacks with club teams will not count towards this dress code.
Lunch Activity: Spooky Grab-the-Mic
Each core group will nominate 1 student for Grab-the-Mic. Participants will team up in their grade while StuCo reads off a 'key' word and students compete to be the first to sing a portion of a real song with that word incorporated.
Thursday, Oct. 29
Dress Code: Country vs. Country Club
Students and staff are invited to choose from two categories: “Country” or “Country Club”. Think cowboy boots, jeans, plaid or cowboy hats vs. tennis outfits, collared shirts, and khaki shorts.
Lunch Activity: Pumpkin Carving
Each core group will nominate 2 students for the annual pumpkin carving competition. Students are given a pumpkin, markers, carving supplies and ~45 mins to carve their best possible pumpkin. Final designs will be placed on the Student Life Instagram for voting and the winning core group gets donuts for their entire class! Pre-designing is allowed, StuCo expects excellence and creativity!
Friday, Oct. 30
Dress Code: Costumes Day
Students and staff are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes! Students can wear any type of Halloween costume that is school appropriate. Students who participate will receive a dress code sticker.
Lunch Activity: Costume Contest
Student Council will host their annual costume contest in the Cafeteria. Anyone dressed in a costume is welcome to participate. Judging will be completed via the Student Life Instagram page (@sphs.studentlife) with polls on stories. Judging is based on ‘best costume’ according to voters with no additional categories. The top 3 winners will win a free lunch. The top 3 will also earn points towards the ‘Grade Wars’.
Schedule IV is in effect.
Regular Dress Code will be in effect Monday November 2, 2026. Click HERE for Dress Code I.
Help divert organic waste from the landfill and provide feed for a local farm!

Volunteer Opportunities:
Parent Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 19/26
We need one volunteer to help set up the hospitality tables for Parent Teacher Conferences. This is an afternoon shift (3:30-4:30) so if you plan to be in school meeting with teachers around this time, please consider this volunteer spot! To sign up, click HERE
Nearly New Sale – Thursday, November 19/26
We are looking for 5 more parent volunteers to set-up, work and then clean up the Nearly New Sale afterwards. This sale is the same evening as the Parent Teacher Conferences so if you are in the school to meet with teachers, please consider signing up for one of the posted opportunities. There are three shifts available: 2:00-3:30 (2 volunteers needed), 3:30-5:30 (3 volunteers needed), 5:30-7:30 (3 volunteers needed). Click HERE to sign up!
Advent Band Concert – Tuesday, November 24/26 - CALLING ON PARENTS OF BAND STUDENTS!
Six volunteers are needed to fill the two evening volunteers shifts for the Advent Band Concert on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. This is a special event that the SPHS community loves. We get such a great turnout. The set-up shift is from 6:00-7:30 (all parents are welcome to volunteer but if you are attending the Advent Band Concert, please consider this shift). The second shift is for Parents of Band Concert students – this is the clean-up shift. We are asking that since parents are already at the school watching their sons, that some of you come to the Cafeteria at the end of the Concert and help clean-up. The clean-up shift will end around 9:30 (or when everything is cleaned up). On SignUp, parents will see the second shift starts at 8:00 but it will start whenever the Concert ends. No one will miss any of the performances. Please help if you can. Sign up HERE.
We are also looking for anyone who is interested in shadowing the Band Concert coordinators. This year, you would meet with the current coordinators and learn about the events and help with the two concerts. Next year, you would oversee working with the Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Andersen, to put on both the Advent Concert and the Evening of Performing and Visual Arts in the Spring. If you are interested in shadowing the Band Concert coordinators, please contact Karen Andersen at volunteercoordinator@stpauls.mb.ca.
