Perfect weather once again greeted the track and field world today at the U of M track. Just when spectators thought there could not be anymore excitement - they were terribly wrong. 

Today's Highlights

James Chapman became the first Crusader in school track history to win a gold medal in a throwing event. James throw of 13.47 was half a meter ahead of his closest competitor to win the Junior Varsity shot put. James is also the first former distance runner to lift wieghts all winter and become a thrower. 

Grant White won the silver medal in the Varsity 100m

Michael Uzonna won the Bronze medal in the Varsity 100m.

Folajimi Bankole won the silver in the JV 100m. 

Luke Bowes placed 8th in the final. 

Brandon Kubay placed 5th in JV high jump. 

JV boys 4 X 400m relay team of Willam Gardner, Sean Ehmann, Hudson McMillan and Draycen Ralph won the Gold Medal. 

Today Qualifiers for tomorrow's final

Noah Neves, Hayes McMillan, Draycen Ralph advanced to the 800m finals

Noah Neves, Hayes McMilllan and Folajimi Bankole advance to the JV 200m finals

Grant White and Michael Uzonna advance to the Varsity 200m finals. 

Varsity and Junior Varsity both advance to the 4 X 100m finals.
