St. Paul's Drama Society is proud to present Murder on the 518!

When what should be a pleasant and scenic journey on the West Coast 518 from Salt Lake City to the City of Angels suddenly goes off the tracks, the passengers have little choice and no place to go. Honeymoon dreams, corporate takeovers, artistic ambitions, and business arrangements all need to be put on hold when one of the passengers suddenly drops dead, and everyone becomes a suspect. Thankfully, among the group is a focused private investigator, who with the help of the remaining and living passengers, takes up the case and all work to solve the Murder on the 518.
The show will run May 7,8,9 at 7:30pm in Murray Hall. Tickets can be purchased using the link below. Please bring your email confirmation as proof of purchase.

Driver's Ed

Summer is a prime time for teen drivers to get their driver’s licences and experience everything hitting the road has to offer during this popular season.

Driver Z is offering limited, condensed courses this summer, including evening options, where available. There are a total of 1,200 available spots.

With start dates in July, available courses for this session will be posted on the Driver Z Course Finder on Friday, May 8, so you can plan ahead and determine which course offering works best for you. Please note that Summer Driver Z courses are offered in select communities based on demand and where instructors are available.

Students interested in enrolling in the summer term of Driver Z must sign up as a new MPI customer and purchase the Driver Education service at a MPI Service Centre or broker by end of day on Saturday, May 9 to be eligible to receive an invitation for a registration window.

As a reminder, the registration process for the program has been updated to eliminate the rush to register on a single day. Under our new process, eligible customers are sorted into groups and invited to register during a defined period of time, called a “window”. During your window, you will be able to choose a date and time that works for you to sign up for a course. Learn more about how the registration process works.

Important things to keep in mind

  • Only Manitoba high school students who are or will be 15 ½ years of age by the date of the Driver Z Knowledge Test (Lesson 5 of the in-class portion) are eligible to participate in the Driver Z program. If you won’t be old enough to register for this session’s course, you’ll need to wait until the next registration round. Visit our website to learn more about eligibility requirements.
  • To confirm if you’re eligible for a specific course, use our Driver Z Course Finder tool – simply enter your school division, school and birthday. You’ll be eligible for any courses that appear in the results.
  • Parents/guardians cannot register for students, unless they are given authorization in writing, in advance by the student. To get the details on how to provide written authority to register on a student’s behalf during your window, speak to your broker or call our Contact Centre at 204-985-7000 or toll-free 1-800-665-2410 to learn more. Otherwise, students must be present when registering for a Driver Z course, whether you’re doing so in person at a broker’s office, an MPI Service Centre or over the phone.

About the Summer 2026 courses

All Summer 2026 courses will be held virtually. These condensed classes will be 4.5 hours and take place over a two-and-a-half-week period. Knowledge tests will be completed at the MPI Service Centre location that is hosting the course. In-car lessons will occur once per week after the Class 5 Knowledge test is passed. In-car lessons will take place at or near the host location, with no exceptions permitted.
