On behalf of the St. Paul's High School Community, we wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in our school community. The following prayer is offered in honour of all mothers.
A Prayer in Gratitude for Our Mothers
Good and Gentle God, we pray in gratitude for our mothers and for all the women who have joined with you in the wonder of bringing forth new life. You who became human through a woman, grant to all mothers the courage they need to face the uncertain future that life with children always brings.
Give them the strength to live and to be loved in return, not perfectly, but humanly. Give them the faithful support of husband, family and friends as they care for the physical and spiritual growth of their children. Give them joy and delight in their children to sustain them through the trials of motherhood. Most of all, give them the wisdom to turn to you for help when they need it most. Amen.

Academic Procedures and Policies - June 2026
Semester 2 Exams run from June 12 to June 18. Our Grade 11s will start one day earlier on June 11 by writing their English or Canadian History Exams. The Semester 2 Exam Schedule will be available soon.
As a reminder, students are expected to write exams at the end of each semester as scheduled. Planned absences during exams should be avoided except in cases of emergencies. In such cases, students may be permitted to write exams on alternate dates with administrative approval. Writing exams prior to the first day of scheduled exams will not be accommodated.
All grade twelve students are required to write a provincial assessment in the applicable math course.
Schedule IV is in effect.
On Thursday, May 14th, St. Paul’s will take part in the Moose Hide Campaign, a national movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians standing up against violence toward women and children (https://moosehidecampaign.ca/). The campaign began with a small piece of moose hide and a big idea: that men and boys must play a key role in ending gender-based violence. By wearing a moose hide pin, individuals show their commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in their lives. The initiative will take place in the morning, following daily announcements. Students will watch a brief video explaining the campaign and will be invited to pick up a moose hide pin with an attached information card. Pins will also be available at lunchtime at the booth outside the Cass Gym. This is an opportunity for students to contribute to a safer, more respectful community. Thank you to everyone for your support of this important initiative.
No classes due to professional development day.
InformNet Courses for Current Grade 12 students
Please note that grades for courses taken via InformNet will appear on a student's final high school transcript, however, they did not appear on the interim grade request from local universities because they are not St. Paul's courses. This means that when St. Paul's submitted grades to U of M and U of W Admissions in April, students' InformNet courses were not included. Given that Admissions uses interim grades to assess students' eligibility for admission, students will need to request InformNet to submit their interim grades to the UM/UW Undergraduate Admissions offices ASAP if they would like them considered.
Event for Students Interested in Medicine, Business, Engineering: IDEATE
The University of Manitoba is saving seats to a special event for St. Paul’s students who are curious about entrepreneurship, science, business, engineering, medicine and more.
Meet Reinhold Schmieding - inventor and entrepreneur with over 2,000+ inventions. His company, Arthrex, launches about 1,000 new medical products every year.
Fun fact: Connor Hellebuyck - Winnipeg Jets Goaltender - is an Arthrex athlete, his recent knee surgery was treated using Arthrex technology.
Come early to explore an interactive exhibit hosted by the Arthrex team - get hands-on with their amazing technology and equipment. Then, hear this inventor's story and join our UM students in asking him questions.
After the presentation, UM's Student Recruitment team will provide an engaging overview about UM and things students can plan for when applying.
This free event is perfect for students who are driven to question, build, and innovate and a unique way to experience UM and start exploring post-secondary options.
